Welcome to Girls and Bicycles! I am Miss Sarah, an active transportation enthusiast, piano teacher, and writerly type. I like taking pictures to document active and beautiful living with my friends and family here in Edmonton
Hey what kind of helmet is that, Ms Sarah? Can you tell me who makes it? It looks like a motorcycle or scooter helmet--Roller Derby Helmet!? I enjoy stopping by your blog. Cheers! Bruce
I always wanted a basket for my bike, but my incredible husband dosn´t like. He rides too. And now looking the picture, I afraid to stolen? Isn´t dangerous? Here in Brazil, Londrina were I live is!! XOXO
It's actually a kiyaking helmut. I didn't know this until it was shipped to me, the Jorg & Olif operation that used to be set up in Vancouver had them for retail. I know it's not 'cycle' certified, but I honestly don't lose a lot of sleep over it:) It'll do just fine until I find another 'bike' appropriate one that works.
Baskets MIGHT get stolen, but you can't live in fear that way. If somebody takes it, just get a new one:) Baskets are the best! That's where I put my bag, purse, groceries, books... everything! You can get a cheap not-fancy wire one too, maybe people won't want to steal that one?
Tell your husband he doesn't have to have a basket, but YOU want one:) I think you'll love it!
Hard hats would be... sort of weird! Wouldn't they just fly off in the wind and then end up hurting someone? I mean, if you're not going to wear a helmet, at least wear a fabulous hat:)
I love tail-wags. I got one as a tester/review item for my son and he loves it. My daughter wants me to get her one. All last summer he and I faught over the helmet and now he love's it. Only prob will be this summer b/c the fleece cover keeps his head warm.
My issue with my Bern is the snaps are really hard to snap in. Anyone else have that issue? do the snap holes loosen up with time?

Hey, I'm looking into those Bern helmets too!
The vented ones with a brim a bit scarce right now, but apparently MEC has them coming in.
Glossy.
Congratulations! Good article.

Congrats on the blog highlight!
You look nice in that helmet.
I like the part about hard hats don't count. I never thought of wearing a hard hat. Hard Hat Chic!
