Here I am at week 36. Don actually wrapped up at work before 9 pm tonight so we took the rare opportunity to have dinner together on a week night! The spring and summer in Edmonton really make up for the cold cold winters. There's something about prairie skies that makes me so happy.

Warm weather heralds the arrival of chilled out tank tops and no fuss flip flops. 36 weeks of pregnancy also heralds the arrival of my protruding belly button! C'est la vie.

lovely.
I'll actually be in the suburbs of Edmonton in a month. will be sending happy newborn vibes or happy labor vibes ( depending on the status of things at that time) to you as I go around town.
I wish there was a way for the four of us to bike around. any good bike rental places your know of. We'll be in Sherwood Park.
Slightly off topic, but I'm going to give you my most important pregnancy/birth advice -- usually I refrain from telling people what to do, but this is really important for all new moms: make sure you have diaper wipes in the house and ready to go before week 37!
They always say first births go late and take a long time, but trust me, you don't want to have a fast birth at 37 weeks and then realize at the first diaper change that you forgot wipes.
You look fantastic! Keep up the biking!!
Beautiful, as always! Yay for flip flop weather.
Showed this to my wife, she said, "hey wait, I deserve some credit, too. When did Gorbachev come to Stanford (and the security prevented me from parking my bike near the building...)". yup, one month before our oldest was born. He turned out ok.
No doubt you know this already, but people are going to try to sell you a truckload of baby junk. Most of it is not necessary.
Yep, beautiful! I bet you are getting excited for the special moment.. :)
I found your blog through Dottie and love it! I find this post very inspiring and your previous one, on the death of activity, equally great! I'm just getting into bike commuting and am also determined to mix style and cycling uncompromisingly! Thanks for an inspirational blog on that, I look forward to perusing the archives :) S.
Great, great photos! Love that you're documenting your pregnancy on the bike. Not too much longer to go now...
Hi Guys,
Yeah, I'm sort of "prepared" in the sense that I've got some basic things such as cloth wipe things and a diaper service scheduled. Otherwise, I've been way too busy with work and house renos to do anything in the realm of buying tons of baby clothes and decorating rooms:)
When I say renos, I mean things like unpacking and organizing from our move in September. Or getting on Don's case to install baseboards and window casing. Renos don't mean picking baby colour schemes with matching crib sheet sets.
Luckily, with all the wonderful families I work with there are lots of little outfits and helpful baby items coming my way. So other people are taking care of the details, I'll keep my eye on the prize. Go baby!
S*
