Bike Gang.

A flashback to a few weekends ago when I went to a charity auction. I was so busy talking about how both my legs and dress were short that I forgot to mention how awesome it is to bike with friends!

I can already forecast that readers will ask where Leanne's helmet is from. It's the same as the black one I'm always wearing, but in glossy red (from Jorg & Olif when they were in business in Vancouver). I had one in each colour but mostly wore the black one all the time. When Leanne got her pretty blue Amsterdam this past spring, I couldn't bear to see her riding around in her sporty helmet with many holes and practical ergonomic design tailored for going fast and not having sweaty hair.

So I gave her my coveted red Sarah-helmet because it looks hot with her bike. That's what a real friend does. She ensures that you look great, and preferably on a bike! I have heard reports that Leanne gets mad compliments on the helmet. This makes me happy because the more people who can see that biking looks great, the more people who may be motivated to join us on the open road.

Taking up the whole lane. Coasting and chatting. Moving in unison.

Biking alone is a lot of fun, but biking with your crew is even better!

Yes, nothing is better than riding with friends. You all are always so classy. I like Don's helmet, too! I am starting to lust for helmets like shoes. They are so much harder to find, though.

Hi Sarah,

I've been following your blog for a while now and really enjoy it! I think you have a wonderful sense of style and I love seeing how you incorporate it into your bike commuter lifestyle.

I used an image of yours on our site today (with of course due credit to its source) so I hope you don't mind. I really love the dress you're wearing in the picture and wanted to share the image as well as the link to your site with our readers.
