There he is. Artfully photographed and re-rendered by Raffaella. My little man with his serious face. There have been many comments on Twitter about how his look is very "magnum" from Zoolander. It's true!
Halloween festivities at the bungalow were great. I pawned off actually making dinner to my friend, Leanne, who loves to cook. She got these magenta priest robes at a Citadel Theatre sale and came as a priest. We took a bunch of pictures of her but I'm not sure if the irony will translate over the blog so... too bad for you guys. However, I did make orange and strawberry jello with fruit cocktail floating in it. I thought I would do orange with gummy worms, but never got around to going out to buy gummy worms.

Plus, dessert was basically eating loads of candy.

We got a few small bundles of kids, but it's not nearly as crazy as when I was small and we'd easily get 60-100 kids coming around. I suspect there are more indoor parties now that are considered safer and warmer? I don't know... I'm a fan of roughing it out in the cold and enjoying the decorated houses. Seems like a rite of passage somehow.
Raffaella was "fall." And since she's a woman too, she was a "fallen woman." Get it? Hee hee.

Bryce is visiting from Toronto, and he was over at his parents' place to hand out candy. I never realized any family made such a production out of the occasion, but it sounds so fantastic. They set up a big army camp tent, and then they wait inside and scare the bejeezus out of the kids. Apparently Bryce's dad was standing around with a chainsaw and his brother Jeff was wearing some scary cape and kept wrapping it around himself before proceeding to convulse violently with the random reveal of a contorted face and creepy sounds.
It's one of those things where it's way better if you saw the reenactments in 3D.
Later on Bryce came back and obliged my requests of songs. A small, lucky group of us got treated to a mini-concert with little sing-a-long parts and all! He's an incredibly talented singer/songwriter and had 2 new things to play us. One was about buttermilk and the other was about a sailor, which ironically, was also Bryce's Halloween costume.
Dougal, all tuckered out from the attention of our friends.

And what would Halloween be without our pumpkin?

Oh yeah, the blog is about ecomobility? Nobody drove.

If I ever have a little boy I may have to steal that idea. Dexter is too cute.
baby d looks so good!
I'm jealous he's going to have all these awesome pics of him as a kid.
Cosmo - For sure! There is always room for cool babies on team Zissou.
misssable - I know. Not having pictures of oneself as a baby leads to having major issues with feeling unloved and under appreciated... and a tendency to project.
Saw this on American TV. Neat product, but cooler commercial
