Leanne and I love riding the train together. Now that the weather is taking a dive, the train and I are reconnecting. I was out for lunch today and rode Dahon to the station. On my way back I ran into a neighbour and we were so busy talking and then walking... I was halfway home when I forgot my bike was locked up at the station. Had to turn around and fetch the foldy!
This is Don's special ETS travel mug. At our place we actually call them "go cups" because you take them when you go places. Don made himself a delicious coffee to enjoy on the walk to the station.

Before the movie we had gourmet burgers and drinks at The Hat. It's an awesome place with school house lights and a tin roof.

We went to go see Fantastic Mr. Fox. It was indeed fantastic!
Don took this picture of the train platform.

Bay Station is all mirrored and retro.

There are these circular bench things for you to sit on. Don kept getting us to crouch down and pretend like we were being beamed down to Vulcan, like in the new Star Trek movie.

Waiting for the train.

On the way home! Sleepy after the late show, but happy.

A recent survey I read about in the Daily Yomiuri said that the Canadians and the French were the happiest people in the world; the Russians, Indians and Japanese(!) were the most anxiety-filled. At first I thought Canada was half-populated by French people, so that might have skewed the survey results in Canada's favor, but then I took another look at this blog and came to the conclusion ALL Canadians must be very happy people!
Pretty station, pretty hats :)
nice.
Is The Hat the old Silk Hat?
Looks like we had the a matching evening, though I opted for eats at home instead of meeting my friends at The Hat. Too bad we didn't run into eachother!
love your friend's T-strap shoes - very vintage looking, in fact her whole outfit looks like she came from the 20's
