Eve.

I was hosting a turkey dinner last night and we set out the antique limoges china I was gifted from the in-laws. I enjoy the sense of formality and history it lends to a meal.

I am in love these vintage bubble glasses. I don't use them very often because they need to be hand washed and I am afraid they will break. One of them has the tiniest chip in the rim (I use that one). They're not as old as the limoges but equally sentimental. They used to be Bryce's. He has a very keen eye for antiques and collectibles. When he moved to Toronto he couldn't take all of his things with him, so I inherited these.

The turkey.

Here is the Cinder+Smoke dress in action.

I was giving Dexter some antihistamine and he knocked the spoon with his flailing fist, spilling sticky artificial grape flavoured goo all over the dress. Hopefully it comes out in the wash...

Oh, and Christmas presents! I love love love my two new necklaces. The one with an apple and gold bow is Betsey Johnson, from Crystal.

The one with a bird and little nest of treasures is by Toodlebunny, from Chrissy. She said there is a shop downstairs from her condo where various designers go on rotation, displaying their wares. She had gone in a few times to scope out the Toodlebunny stuff and finally settled on this one for me. Sounds like my kind of place.

It's funny how two of my oldest friends, though living in different cities, found me Christmas gifts that are so "Miss Sarah". I am a lucky girl. So far, the holidays have been full of smiles, sparkle, and shine.

Happy Holidays!

I really like the C&S dress! Very flattering colour, and I like how the dress looks like two separate pieces of clothing (jumper and blouse). The button details are perfect. Happy holidays!

I went to Meese and bought a Lily+Jae "boy" blouse for 70% off. It's purple & orange paisley w/a matching pocket square. I also got a Cinder+Smoke casual top, with red & blue nautical stripes for 50% off. Have u ever been to Meese? The owner,Tressa, used to work at Nokomis. Now she owns Meese and stocks only Canadian designers, some of them are local like C+S. She designs and sews her Sessa label right in the shop too. She makes the most adorable dresses!!! She's super nice! It's a bit of a drive but worth it. I'll prob hit Noko soon too.I don't know which store i like more!
P.S. There's a funny pic of Bruce on our blog. He's carrying our 80lb. dog and the look on our dog'd face is hilarious.
How about you,any Boxing Day shopping?

Lovely. I got a Betsey Johnson necklace as a gift, too - a huge, blingy bicycle pendant.

Judith - I haven't gone to Meese! But this sounds like a place I should hit, is it St. Albert or Sherwood Park? I love Nokomis too, but in the past I've had trouble finding my size. Their size 2 is still really boxy on me and the bust on the house brand never hits me the right way. I do prowl for other stuff, though, and accessories.

Should try this Sessa that you're talking about, maybe it would fit me better!

Most of my boxing day shopping was done at chains. I have this thing where I raid Club Monaco and Banana Republic for staples that I wear for years and years. Got some great stuff!

Bruce said he gave you a hard time about your furry hat. I told him to stay out of state affairs!

Oops, not Betsey Johnson. Cynthia Rowley. I get the two mixed up because of their similar styles.

Wow, size 2? You are t-i-n-y!!
