Bike Thief.

Or at least that's what I look like in this photo Raffaella took last week.

It's been cold and dark. It was absolutely necessary to go have some food and talk with lady friends. I rode out to meet up at the Sugarbowl but upon sitting down the waitress told us the place might be closing down for the night (still not sure why). I was totally famished so we opted to leave for Remedy across the street.

Kona was parked outside of the 'bowl, but it was one of those racks where my lock wouldn't reach down to the wheel so I just locked the bike to itself. I mean, who wants to steal a tiny, winterized mountain bike?

Instead of unlocking it, I just carried it over to the next place. It was cold and I didn't want to take my mitts off.

I love how colourful this photo is! Makes the cold and dark nights seem sparkly and nice.

You had me going for a minute. I thought one of your toys had been stolen.
I'm glad I was wrong!

Hi Sarah
I'm a regular reader of your blog. I enjoy your posts and pictures.
Today post reminds me this Italian movie I saw many years ago. If you haven’t seen it yet, I recommend you to watch it. I think you'll like it.
Cheers
Monica

Very cool photo. The "tiny" part is pretty funny. I can see how that would help with the anti-theft aspect, although a lot of guys seem to ride around with their knees hitting their armpits.

Sox - I sort of thought people might be worried, hee hee

Monica - Thanks for the link!

Dottie - It's those people that give riding on the sidewalk a real bad name. Admittedly, there are times when I think having pegs on my back wheel would be awesome for doubling!

those boots are too nice for a bike thief! :)

Sean - glad you noticed! From the way I'm walking you can't tell, but those boots are high heels and made for walking!

I locked up my bike like that once, and someone carried it off. A few weeks later I found it locked up outside a superstore.I ran inside, bought a U-lock, and locked the bike up with a note ' Dear bike theif, take your lock and go before I call the police'. My beautiful vintage ladies scwhinn was being ridden around by a rather obese man, who was overloading her front basket with cheap swill. he must have hammered the ulock off because the steel downtube looked crushed.
