Ragdolls.

I have long since coveted this one particular bungalow in the Edmonton neighbourhood of Glenora. It's right on the route from the west end (where I used to live with my parents) to downtown. I've driven past that place for decades. A few months after Don and I bought the Belgravia bungalow, the Glenora place went on the market. For a short while we lamented how fate was so cruel to us, having such an opportunity arise when we weren't in a position to take advantage of it?

Oh. Cruel. Fate.

However, as fate would have it... we discovered that somebody excellent (who we coincidentally know) now lives there! We were invited over for drinks last night so we could get the full tour. It was a fun time and I now have severe bungalow envy.

There were two ragdoll cats (but these two pictures are of the same one).

And a photo mobile.

Eating chips with truffle oil, drinking pear martinis, and looking at pictures of new buildings.

There was even a present waiting for Dexter, a wonderful grasping-teething toy!

What a great house and what a great evening. I also really like cats but Don is allergic so we're never around them. Big, puffy ragdoll cats that I can carry around like an accessory? Awesome.

New friends put a smile on my face.

Awwww. I have a ragdoll - one of my three cats. He is adorable with big blue eyes. Those eyes and sweet demeanor are necessary for me to forgive the huge tumbleweeds of white fur that roll around my condo.

Glenora is such a lovely neighborhood....*sigh*
I think that Duchess Bakery is nearby? I've heard that they make amazingly scrumptious Euro pastries and other confections......Isaac had that colorful toy when he was a toddler too :)

Sable & Dottie - Those cats were so chilled out! I was carrying one around like it was a handbag and it was like, "okay..." And Dexter caught up to one a few times and pet it. No mauling or anything.

Judy - Duchess is fantastic. The macaroons...
