Time Change.

It has been so delightfully sunny this past while, when I look at the glass on my front door I can see my reflection!

The time change is unwelcome in the not-sleeping-in department, but very welcome in the sense of signalling spring. I'm really looking forward to riding around with Dexter in the Madsen. Now that he's older and can sit up properly on his own I'm even thinking of trying the trailer too. I realize there are advantages and disadvantages to both, but I like how the trailer is enclosed so I don't have to worry when it's raining or really sunny or windy. The point is there are more options with Dexter transport by bike now that he's older.

For now, time change Sunday was spent riding solo for groceries. We were having some friends over for dinner (very casual) and it turned out I didn't have as many potatoes as I thought.

I have an admission to make. I own Crocs. No, not those awful clog ones with holes all over them (I can excuse seeing them in the garden or whatever... just not with actual clothes). One pair is black mary jane and this pair is canvas and navy, like a boat shoe. I like them for travel because they are flat and waterproof and generally unassuming. I like them for walking the dog. I like them for those super casual days.

I think they pair up alright with the Amsterdam. A look encompassing much ease, I think.

There's this one supermarket near me that I go to when I only have a bag of things I need to get. I love it on the weekend because there are no giant shopping carts or lines.

And although squash isn't necessarily a summer thing (does it depend on the squash?), I think sunshine coloured produce is in keeping with extended hours of light.

In retrospect, I still look quite prepared for winter. It might be sunny out but temperatures are still hovering around freezing. And it was windy too.

I am spending this week reorganizing and purging my closet. Seasons change. Need to do an inventory check. There were so many dresses that didn't fit right last year, immediately after the pregnancy. They won't be missing spring and summer two years in a row, that's for sure!

If you have any large clothes that you are going to purge... send them my way :)

ever since I had kids I have hated DST. I enjoy the longer days and spring coming- but the whole sleep thing is never fun. Dragging small kids out of bed to go to school when they are tired makes me cranky.

happy moving to warmer days.

Great self portrait :)

It's so nice to see the Amsterdam again, and I look forward to seeing the Madsen soon! Spring is so exciting.

I cleaned out my closet last weekend, which always makes me feel much better. The mystical power of an organized closet...

Nice pictures :)

I also need to do the same with my Wardrobe.. the season is finally changing in London & the new Spring Clothing that I've bought in advance of the sun appearing require a space in my wardrobe. The Jumpers and such have to move over... :)
