Air and Space.

It would be remiss not to mention our seemingly epic visit to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. The boys were basically drooling over everything and although I did a good browse and nod to points of interest, I certainly wasn't comprehensively reading and subsequently retaining all the information from the displays like Don was.

So there is one horrible thing about the place. The only convenient place to get a bite to eat is by visiting the super factory-styled McDonald's. I haven't eaten at McDonald's for close to a decade. Whenever I want a fast food burger I prefer the teen burger or mozza burger from A&W, with onion rings and a root beer. I figured, when in Rome... it was just a necessary evil to eat some kind of chicken sandwich at McDonald's. No offence to anybody who likes it... but it doesn't actually taste like anything! It was the most cardboard-like meal I have ever had. Oh well.

Pictures of all things air and space!

Oh, this was the Wright Brothers flyer. I believe this early flyer was pedal powered?

Funny how the bicycle hasn't really changed much since it was first invented. This one looks like the Pashley's Guv'nor.

This is an orb that space ships would drop back to earth, filled with film from secret photography missions.

I like things that are shiny.

And stars. I also like stars.

It was pretty crowded, but nothing compared to Times Square around 6 pm. And nothing compared to a regular street in China, on any given day. It was interesting to see all the other American tourists during our stay in WAS. I can definitely say that my exposure to the various accents was unexpected. I hear that our accents sound like west coast ones, like we're from California, so we actually sound like TV. Cool!

Dave - It's just so... dorky. Maybe it warrants a post all its own?
