redbike Open House Video.
Check out the party through the lens of Ron, camera man extraordinaire!
The girl in the blue dress is Raffaella, my friend and the lady who is often photographing me. She has the eye.
At the end I'm chatting a lot. The guys were making fun of me for the lipstick, but I was explaining that if you've eaten, you should really reapply. I might have also mentioned something about how my mom says she looks like a corpse without her lipstick. I look a lot like my mom. I too look corpse-like without the lipstick.
And finally I was checking with Marilyn about directions for our ride across the bridge. Don and I have this thing we're working on when it comes to riding together. We now have rules that we discuss which route we're going so I don't have to wipe out when Don makes annoying changes in direction without signalling. Work in progress!

Hey
I've been following you for a while, Just love what
you guys are up to,
lip sticks and bikes..... A Yea!!
Jon C.
Jon - lip stick and bikes sounds like another name for a blog.
love.
Freeze frame on my face. Yeah!
What I like about Ron's video camera is it's so tiny and doesn't intimidate people. When he's interviewing people it's like you're still talking to him and not the camera. Which is not the same as my beast.
Hey Sarah. Just wondering where you bought your bike basket! It's pretty :)
I was looking at Nantucket bike baskets but I don't think anybody carries them around here.
I love that you and your husband have rules to riding together. My husband is the same way, he 'forgets' to signal and we end up almost hitting each other or doing circles and things to regroup. Luckily he has gotten better with our little one. We will have to use that rule sometime!
Family C - I tell Don he rides like an only child. He, of course, hates that generalization. But how else do you explain blasting through three amber lights when you know somebody is behind you and THEN you don't bother checking to see where the person behind you is. Not that it matters because you can't see them anymore!
I obviously have PTS.
I agree about the "only child syndrome" when it comes to cycling; when I ride with the kid, I need to remind him that I'm not a mind-reader and to give me ample warning when he plans to turn, etc. Lol.
This is a cute, funny video...I especially like the parts when Ron stops the action, I laughed aloud when he stopped and zoomed in on your shoes (LOVE), and the clips of Cliff really captured his, well, grooviness, lol. Looking forward to more videos!
Community + bike shop = cool video. Go Edmonton!
I first heard about Edmonton from a women on a plane to Sydney, Australia. It's fascinating to see the city's emerging bike scene here on your blog. Thank you, Sarah.
