W Times Square.

I really liked our hotel in New York. We stayed at the Sheraton Four Points in D.C. and it was great in terms of location but everything else was pretty standard. Standard in a good way.

Though, the W Times Square was wicked awesome. There were pros and cons to the location. The pros are that there is always stuff open and street meat and nuts 4 nuts for you to buy on your way home. No matter how late. And it's always bright and littered with people. The bad thing about staying in Times Square are the crowds, particularly the hours before shows begin.

When you enter the hotel from the street there are three elevators that take you to the lobby and lounge on the 7th floor. Once you're upstairs there are other sets of elevators that take you up to the rooms. There is a nice store. The lobby bathrooms are great. And I loved the lounge. After a whole day on our feet it was a great place to have a drink and rest before dinner. Or if we finished up with our evening plans and wanted a place for a night cap? Perfect. Plus, the wireless internet was free so we were often found down there drinking with friends and playing on our iPhones.

Raffaella has a good picture of my best friend, Richard, and me.

There were several of these great square ottomans. Perfect for sitting alone or with others.

Big, beautiful floral arrangements.

Ample lounge seating.

Raffaella on the room's lounger.

Our bathroom. Warning. The wall between the bathroom and bedroom was glass and not completely opaque. All four of us were sharing the room together. Self-consciousness be gone!

And a comfy bed.

They also had complimentary ear plugs! Somebody in our group has the snores. I don't snore, but sometimes I drool.

You would have liked it. Though it would have been too loud for mom:)
