Washington is a beautiful place where you have surreal moments time and again. Walk by the white house? Surreal.
This happened repeatedly.
Similarly, all the epic monuments were ogle worthy.

Both the Jefferson and Lincoln monuments were really grand, but I think I enjoyed the Jefferson one more. Something about the vibe there.

Don and I leaning on some columns.

It was a windy day. We took lots of pictures.

Capitol Building!

Raffaella's flickr friend, Ralph, drove up from Philly to hang out with us. What a great time! He was much fun.

There is a pretty stroll you can take from the Jefferson monument to the Lincoln one. We sat down for a rest. Raffaella always complains that pictures of her look bad. I think she looks great here. But check me out fixing my bangs! Nice face Miss Sarah, nice face.

Washington looks so amazing!Did you buy any Obama souvenirs? I know its tacky, but I kinda like Obama stuff :) Your first picture reminds me so much of those scenes in "Forrest Gump", which is a fave flick in our family. I like your headwrap and lip colour, you look so Mad Men!
Ha! We're not much for souvenirs. I think it's our total distaste for things that aren't useful. Don did, however, buy an Obama travel mug online during the election:) That's useful! Oh, and I got Dexter 2 I heart NY t-shirts on the street in Times Square.
The head wrap is actually my repurposed scarf because it was insanely windy. And the lip colour is a result of the light being very kind. But I'll take the compliment of looking like a Mad Men lady, any day.
More beautiful pictures making me want to visit DC.
You are so chic and smart to use a wrap on a windy day :)
