Went to the market this morning and got my requisite waffle to start the day off.
This is the wonderful man who makes the waffles.

Berries are always a must. Actually, fruit is a lot like biking to me. I eat tons of fruit because it's food that doesn't require cooking. Efficient use of my eating time when I'm in a rush!
The Queen of Tarts people have amazing stuff.
Of all the local market stuff, I like buying from the farm that is actually located within the city limits.
Elize was fretting about where to get eggs. We convinced her to try duck eggs.
Sable kept Dexter moving in the stroller and knocked him out for his nap.
A great dane puppy.
And a beautiful older great dane!
This dog looked like a cartoon dog.
And this was a little designer dog.
We unloaded our groceries at Credo and took a break.
Coffee fuel.
And we saw a wedding party.
Gowns like this are so grand, but all I can remember is how hard it was to breathe in one.
I am a huge sucker for crinoline.
The Saturday city market continues to be a weekly feast for my eyes. Unbeatable Saturday morning activity. When I bike (I was planning to this week now that my trailer is set up on the Kona, but it was too rainy and Kona doesn't have fenders), I'll be able to take Dougal too.

xxo.m
what a great day. Sigh. Our farmer's market doesn't have such yummy prepared foods. those savory tarts look so good!!!
Looks like you had a beautiful day. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful! All of your farmer's market photos motivated me to start going to the market more regularly this summer. That waffle looks delicious.
Not much longer until your visit to Chicago!!
meli - Yeah! The nice thing about my summers is that every day feels like the weekend. SWEEET.
Mama - The lineup for the Queen of Tarts is crazy and they sell out of stuff very quickly. I've been gorging on the waffles lately and haven't been hitting the tart place as often as last year.
Linds - You're welcome! It's fun to relive my good times via the blog.
Dottie - I can't wait for Chicago. Don seriously needs a break from the every day and he is such an architecture-phile. I'm going to see if Raffaella will let me borrow one of her cameras. Mine is okay. Hers are golden.
I like the market for many reasons, but people watching is one of the highest ones on the list.
I've got to try one of those waffles. Yum.
I frequent the Old Strath market but it's often jammed with people that I feel claustrophobic after 20 mins. Still, I go there for Happy Camels hummous and kim chi.
Judy - Happy Camel is at the city market too! But I don't think you would get the kim chi:) I really like the city market because it's pet friendly.
