Wednesday.

Today I wore my big red silk flower necklace. I got it on sale on boxing day and have meant to wear it many times. Somehow I end up switching it out for other things. Then I saw academichic post something like it and was reminded of this gem of a necklace I had at home. I figured it was time to finally take this little guy for a spin.

It even has a bit of bling.

My hair has been flipping outwards at the ends because of all the rain. Humidity makes my hair misbehave. That, and helmet head. I've actually been riding in the rain a lot the last few days. There's something about it that is pretty refreshing.

Started the day with a ride to Sunterra to get some lunch provisions. My best friend Chrissy has recently moved back to town (I've known her since grade 1) and she is currently working at the cross cancer institute. When I google mapped the building the other night I was shocked to realize it's mere blocks away from the bungalow! It never registered to me that she was working so close. Awesome.

Dexter and I took our lunch things to her in the trailer.

After a fine visit we went to the library to return things and take out more things.

Dexter fell asleep on the ride so we hung out while he had a nap.

Love an old brick building.

Lots of space for bike parking. My style.

After a leisurely ride home we came home to watch some of the DVDs I borrowed. Today it was a history channel mini series on Elizabeth I.

I know, so dorky.

What can I say? I like myself a period costume retrospective.

In the evening I went to dinner at Parkallen with Dave and Don.

Dave has recently gotten new frames.

We had a bottle of viognier.

I'm gaga for the new wine cellar.

On ice.

Dexter likes to play peekaboo.

Peek!

Taking Dexter out for dinners isn't a sure thing. Sometimes he sits there and just acts charming the whole time. On other occasions you have to eat really fast and take turns handling the squirmy dude. Tonight was the latter.

That's life as a mom! I'm lucky to have extra pairs of hands around to help with all the handling.

Just another Wednesday with my people, on my bike.

love the necklace.

Yes the unpredictability of kids, but my thought on that is to keep doing it. lately we've back down from nicer spots b/c T is loud loud loud- he just can't speak softly at all, so I pick places that are equally loud. We go to a huge venezuelan place and drink mojitos and eat crazy good beef and feel like humans. You inspire me to do that more. so thanks. ( and to gussy up more too, b/c it's fun. I've decided to stop worrying about it people think I'm overdressed or whatnot. I might as well wear what I got right?!

I've said it before, but it begs to be said again: Dexter is so cute!

Lovely necklace, I'm so jealous of yours and E's both. I need to get my hands of a similar beauty.

Linds + Dag - Thanks for sharing the necklace love!

Mama - People used to always tell me, "you're so dressed up!" but I never feel too dressed up. As long as you own it, it's all good:)

I love ethnic restaurants, I fit right in. Loudness and all.

Simply - Thanks, I grew that baby myself!
