Folk Festival - Sunday.

Dexter loves his popcorn. When he saw Don coming back to the tarp with the bag he immediately started squealing with delight.

But before all the evening popcorn we had afternoon sessions.

First one was stage 6 with Dala, Brandi Carlile, Basia Bulat, and Alejandro Escovedo.

It was really well-attended, this was just one of seven little side stages.

We miraculously got Dexter to take a nap in his stroller (it was really hot out) and because of his slumber we couldn't park him at the main stage for Te Vaka. So we took in the show via the beer gardens where we found a lovely spot in the shade with a cross breeze.

Upon his wakening he ate snacks with uncle Kris.

We also enjoyed Naomi Shelton & the Gospel Queens at stage 1.

Dexter drank his milk.

Don took him around and tried to encourage Dexter to walk. He took his first steps!

Too bad somebody walked in front of my shot:(

More walking practice with uncle Ben.

It was hot so we went sans pants again.

Peek!

Then back at the main stage we ate dinner and hung out.

This is Heather.

We enjoyed Aterciopelados during transition from the gardens up to the tarp.

Then we were treated to Four Men & a Dog. I didn't have any high expectations for this group but I was surprised at how much I liked them. Irish folk music, very cheerful and upbeat.

Then we got to see Jakob Dylan & the Three Legs. It was great! I know people must say this a lot, but his voice sounds so much like his dad's.

Sometimes I miss having long hair and being able to wear it up like this. Especially on hot days like today.

I can't believe Dexter survived and actually enjoyed over 8 hours out and about at the folk festival site. I have learned that as long as there are snacks, Dexter is pretty much a happy camper.

Oh folk fest. We love you. See you next year!

Postscript:

You can see Dexter and me at around 45 seconds.

Oh thank you for the photos and video. I've only been twice, sadly I do not have the cash flow to afford such an event but it would be fun!
