At our get-out-the-vote mustering this morning, we had a big tent with a big Iveson sign on it!
Dexter was also there to support his dad. He has a little volunteer name tag that says, "Automatic Vote-Getter".
Underneath this tweed jacket I had on a long sleeved t-shirt and a thick, cropped sweater. At no point did I feel too warm. It was sunny but quite cold. The only reason I'm not wearing gloves is because I took them off so I could continue to wipe Dexter's runny nose.
My lady friends were there.
And so was the Eva Sweet waffle truck!
People enjoyed coffees and waffles before heading out.
Cameron, a super-star volunteer, got the works on his waffle.
Oh my gosh. A whole bunch of firefighters showed up both yesterday and today to help us with our lofty goals. They even made t-shirts that said, "Firefighters for Iveson" on them! Intense. And awesome.
Mayor Mandel came to have a waffle too, and got to visit with Dexter.

YES! Calgary is such an exciting and positive place to be right now. Nenshi has so many great ideas (including plans for enhancing transportation options aside from cars) that I'm inspired to become more involved - and I've never been too politically-minded.
Huge congrats to you and Don! Can't wait to see the wonderful things in store for you two and the city!
Melissa - Agreed, you guys had a big win over there! Nenshi was over here for coffee the other day, so he's definitely commiserating with like-minded active transportation dorks.
