On the weekend we had the pleasure of attending the most amazing brunch in the neighbourhood, which also doubled as a carolling party led by yours truly.
The benefits to having brunch 3 blocks away, is that the walk is short.
We actually had to look twice to see the address of the place, because there were no cars parked out front despite there being tons of families in attendance. Everybody walked.
So much care was put into the occasion.

Dexter was a big fan of this fantastic little ornament. There are these little candles and it spins round and round.
Our hosts were amazing and laid out a delicious spread of turkey (best I have ever had), smoked salmon, quiches, croissants, roasty potatoes, salads... YUM. Writing about it now is giving me cravings.
What a festive house!
I got to meet a lot of new (to me) neighbours and put a lot of parents to kids I have seen at the park. Here is Glenn, the child-wrangler (you can sort of see Dexter hanging out on the couch in the back).

The carolling went swimmingly. Never having played for that crowd before, or on that piano, I wasn't sure what to expect. Everybody sang loud and happy, and it was so much fun I am quite convinced that this needs to become an annual tradition.
I know I harp on my neighbourhood a lot, about how it's awesome and my neighbours are rad? Well, I came home from brunch to find these goodies on my porch!

So I made up a tea tray.
New and beautiful tea set was a birthday gift from my friend, Rosie.
The cat creamer I bought at Henry's here in Edmonton. I seriously love this thing.
So I had some super Belgravian times! Some of it out with the neighbours and some of it here at home. It was local to the max. No car required.

That ornament is from Germany, I used to have one, growing up. It brings back so many memories!
That brunch looks a - MAY -zing! I love caroling. When I was a kid growing up on Vancouver Island, we used to go out into the bush with friends, cut down a Christmas tree, eat chili and sing carols.
