NYC Doughnut (aka Donut) Crawl

April 3, 2013

When you walk miles and miles every day (no exaggeration), I feel like it justifies the ridiculousness of a doughnut crawl.

We had bomboloni at the Sullivan Street Bakery. They were perfectly sized and fluffy to boot. Mine was lemon - yum.

Next doughnut was the Almond one at Donut Plant. Portion much bigger. It was like a family sized doughnut! Delicious.

The clear winner was the doughnut I had at DOUGH, which is located at a farmer's market type table in the basement of the Brooklyn Flea. Oh, and I see now that I am looking for links you can also find them at their street location. Contrary to what the photo says, I actually had the coconut. It was SO GOOD. I don't like to play favourites because the other two doughnuts were so tasty, but the DOUGH one was amaaaazing.

My advice?

Walk everywhere. Eat doughnuts.

Mmm, love doughnuts! When and if you're ever in Vancouver, BC, make sure you hit up Lee's Donuts on Granville Island and Honey's Donuts in Deep Cove!
